Learning to Box and How to be a Girl in Northeast Portland

Alex and her mother Jill Baker have walked a difficult path lately.

Baker lost her job, they had to move, Alex changed schools. Then a mean girl opened a campaign against Alex and made fat tears run down over those freckles.
