A girls' soccer team retired jersey No. 12 the other night.
The person wearing it hadn't scored a goal all season. Just attending Freedom High's final game was enough for the crowd to cheer. Bree McMahon wasn't satisfied with merely being there. No. 12 got out of her wheelchair, grasped her crutches and wobbled across the field on her loaner leg.
