Louis Oosthuizen Wins First Major at British Open

A week after the World Cup ended, South Africa had more reason to celebrate Sunday, this from a most unlikely source.

Louis Oosthuizen, a 27-year-old who had only made one cut in his previous eight majors, blew away the field at St. Andrews for a British Open victory that looked as easy as when Tiger Woods first won here a decade ago.

Puyol heads Spain into final

For all of Spain's brilliant passing in their World Cup semi-final against Germany, it was a Carles Puyol header from a corner that put them into the final.

Puyol rose highest in the second-half to seal Spain's first ever appearance in the final, against Netherlands.
